Telling a terriotrio with the genius loci
Thus was born an “identity sign” that represents producing companies and public policies that support the promotion of the territory in this direction. The desire to build a virtuous system in which everyone can contribute to telling the story of the quality that characterizes the Bettonese territory has allowed the circuit to be opened to other activities related to the sector of raw material processing, catering and hospitality.

The thousand-year history, which began with the Etruscans, tells of a territory strongly suited to agriculture, wine production and livestock farming. The favourable geographical position, the abundance of water and the geological quality of the soil allow for the production of the highest quality products. The current technical and technological evolution of cultivation places the Bettona area at the forefront of innovation. It produces fresh vegetables and fruit, cereals and legumes, ancient and native crops, rare vines and, above all, extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality.

Recipes that come from history
The tradition of poultry breeding characterizes the entire Betton area, especially goose breeding, for which it has always been famous. Over time it has turned into a true culinary uniqueness. However, the complex processing of the meat has made it possible to define multiple recipes ranging from sauces, to stewing, roasting, casseroles, and sauces, the preparation of which has become a true popular knowledge. The SAGRA DELL’OCA DI BETTONA has enlivened every summer in the village for decades under the wise leadership of the ProLoco di Bettona.
